GZG Salute Preview - Engineering and Construction Mecha

NEW 15mm SCALE CIVILIAN CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING MECHA from GZG:

Presented here are the first preview shots of our GZG's new CIVILIAN MECHA scheduled for release at SALUTE on 20th April, and available for mail order very shortly after the show. The examples shown are just a few of many possible variations on the basic bipedal and quadrupedal chassis, various extras and accessory packs will be available with different tools and fittings to customize your machines.

The models are ALL-METAL multipart kits, which are surprisingly quick and easy to assemble using a good superglue and some spray activator. They are designed for maximum variability of pose and interchangeability of tools and fittings. All models designed and sculpted (traditionally, not 3D-printed) by "MMG" (Mad Mecha Guy), who also made the "Charger" Military Mecha that we launched at Salute last year.

ALL AVAILABLE AT SALUTE 2013 (ExCel, London) on SATURDAY 20th April. Watch our website (www.gzg.com) for info on these and many more new items for the show!

  1. Some really nice things there. I must say I am tempted, but I can wait, post salute.

  2. Those are fantastic - especially the quads.

My only complaint is the "Aliens" arms on the Hercules, but I'm sure they will be popular. :)

Reach Stacker arms would be really cool to see in the future, since shipping containers are popular as terrain and objectives.

    1. Chris,

Jon is having trouble commenting to the site so asked me to pass this on to you...

"Chris, the "jaws" of the "powerloader" arms are separate from the bar they slide on, so you can assemble them open, closed or halfway - or for a pallet/container loader, just use the bottom jaw without the top one!

      Jon."

  3. The Powerquad CLEM actually resembles a real design concept for safer, more versatile construction machinery I saw a while back. So, obviously some thought put into believability :)

    1. The more I look at the quad-track version, the more I want one without the construction equipment. It would be great for vac-suit/moon exploration figures.

    2. The whole system here has a lot of potential for expansion.

I can see a fire fighting, mining, even a harvester in that quad.

The quad is no doubt the best looking.

  10. Jon was kind of enough to spill that there is more of this sort of thing coming in the future.

  11. They remind me a lot of Wizkids MechWarrior Dark Age mechs, which were converted from industrial mechs.

  12. Love these. About as big as I like a mech for 15mm too. Bigger ones don't fit my teeny table.

  13. I got hobby wood when I spotted these, definitely getting some of them.

  15. Well, looks like my Red Faction themed army will actually be completed...

  16. With the removal of the dozer arms and blade also the crane I can picture the last tracked variant as a multi axled Luna rover type vehicle, it would need the multi axles to traverse craters and very rough terrain
